The 2-way passive full range ceiling loudspeaker shall incorporate an 8 inch cone low frequency transducer and a ferrofluid cooled 1 inch soft dome high frequency unit with integral diffraction ring. The low frequency voice coil shall be 1 inch in diameter. The high frequency voice coil shall be 0.5 inches in diameter.The system specifications of a typical (transformer less) production unit shall be as follows: Average (RMS) power handling shall be 60W. Frequency range shall be of 50 Hz to 20 kHz. On-axis sensitivity (1W / 1m) shall be 90 dB SPL. Coverage angles shall be 90 degrees horizontal and vertical (average of 1/3rd octave bands from 500 to 8 kHz). Nominal impedance shall be 8 ohms.The system’s low frequency driver shall be mounted on a plastic support that houses mounting tabs for fixing to ceiling surfaces. Colour shall be white.
